Unit President - Ethel Washington
Ethel was born in Crystal City, Texas and is the oldest of 10 children and mother of two daughters. She is an active member of Lilly of the Valley Baptist Church, where she is a lead singer in the choir. Ethel is also an active member of the Leslie Foster Community Choir and the City Wide Revival Choir. She has served as a board member for YMCA and Financial Secretary and headed the fund raising committee of The ELKS.
1st Vice President (2019 - 2020) - Delores
Delores joined the American Legion in May 2018 through her brother Navy Veteran Leroy Burks. She is the proud of 4 children and 1 grandson. One son is a Marine Veteran and a daughter is an Air Force Veteran.
Born and raised in Rockford, IL, she is the youngest of 11 children. She has lived in 2 other countries and her home has been the San Antonio area for more than 16 years.

Favorite activities/hobbies include traveling, sewing, crocheting, gardening, dancing, Texas Hold'em and a passion for helping others.
Has volunteered her time to Habit for Humanity, San Antonio Food Bank, Church Under the Bridge, and Feed The Children.

The American Legion Auxiliary
Pamela was born on July 18, 1963 in San Antonio, 13 minutes short of sharing the same birth date with her late maternal grandmother. As a daughter, granddaughter, sister and ex-wife of veterans, she is proud to be a member of the American Legion Auxiliary. Pamela is eligible for her membership under her late grandfather, Alford McCullough. Pamela has been a member of the auxiliary since 2004 and has been the treasurer for 5 years and has also served the position of Sunshine chairperson for two (2) years. Pamela is a member of New Dimensions Ministries where she has been the financial secretary for ten (10) years and she is a member of the Trustee Board. She is a mother of four children, Kevin, Tamika, Darren and Jaela. She is known as Nana to Darius, Braylon, Serenity and Amaysia. Currently Pamela is attending DeVry University to attain her Business degree in Accounting. She was recently promoted on her job at Lancer Corporation as the Supervisor of Accounts Payable. She has worked at Lancer for 7 years. She loves to read and spend time with her family and friends. Her personal goal as an auxiliary member is ensure that the elderly veterans are cared for while visiting the Post for fun and entertainment.
Reba Spears was born in the small town of Groveton,Texas, she is eligible for membership in the auxiliary through her late husband, James Bennett, Jr. who served in the U.S. Army (1964-1967). Reba has lived a life of service to others through her role as a nurse (since the age of 21), a mother, and membership in religious/civic organizations. A member of the American Legion Auxiliary since 2006, she has held the offices of First and Second Vice President. Reba is a member of Bethel United Methodist Church where she serves by singing in the choir and as a Sunday School teacher. She is the mother of three children: Michael Bennett, Tonya Bennett, and Tami Bennett Dudo. Her 9 grandchildren refer to her as Nana and her family refers to her as Bop. Her passions in life are God, family and friends, singing, dancing and scrape booking. Her goals as an auxiliary member are to help increase membership and foster the spirit of mutual helpfulness as stated in the Preamble of the Constitution of the American Legion Auxiliary.

Historian - Joyce Williams
Born and raised in San Antonio, Joyce is a graduate George W. Breckenridge High School. Member since 01/2019, joined under Husband, Carnell Williams. She is a proud mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She is a member of True Vision Baptist Church. Now retired after 31 years at Acelity, as Manager of Facility Services - included planning and designing work spaces, purchasing furniture, planning activities and managing the Mail Services area for the company. She enjoys spending time at the post helping when and where she's needed. She enjoy activities such as quilting, sewing, and spending quality time with family.
Annie Ross Hinton
Annie is Texas native. She joined through her husband. She has one (1) son.
She is a native of Tennessee. She has two children and several grandchildren.
